Textiles are the second largest global industry, most used textiles go to landfill and most surprisingly natural sounding fibres do not automatically mean that they are environmentally friendly.

Toxic chemicals are widely used throughout the production process (it is cited that approximately 8000 chemicals can be used to turn raw materials into textiles).
